Interactions, Spaces and Conversations
Following my 2nd tutorial with Peter Castle it made me think more about the spaces, interactions and conversations between the experimental pieces I had been working on rather than the objects themselves. By positioning, combining, moving and juxtaposing these objects they start to have conversations with each other in different ways. These pieces can be subjected to the unpredictable processes of firing by adjusting the materials. Peter suggested that I research the work of Neil Brownsword and Gillian Lowndes to see how these objects can transform etc combining, pairing, stacking, firing, adding, subtracting.
Photographs of my experimental objects are illustrated below.
